Since the YouTube channel began to grow in popularity in 2019, my trips to the Big Apple have been nothing short of spectacular. The first group run in Central Park, near the New York City Marathon finish line, was simply jaw dropping. I could not believe how many people showed up to shake out for that year's race. The passion and positivity within the crew of runners was simply second to none.
Although we will not share the streets of New York in 2023, we are still united through this passion for pushing our limits at the marathon distance. The never ending enticement of the 26.2 mile distance all starts at the foot of Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, across the water.

Chasing Down the Personal Record in NYC?
The 2023 New York City Marathon is not just a race; it's a stage where dreams are chased and limits are pushed. For runners aspiring to break personal records, it's an opportunity to shine. It's also a chance for professionals to showcase their expertise, and perhaps, even set new world records, well on a really, really good day!
If you are able to chase down a marathon PR in New York, kudos to you! The course crosses five bridges between the Boroughs. These bridges add about 800' of vertical gain to your marathon experience. Compared to the other Marathon majors, like Chicago or Berlin, this is a big number to tackle on race day. The longest bridge carries the iconic status of longest on the course, the famous Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. This leads you to the following waterway crossings of Pulaski, Queensboro, Willis Ave, and wrapping up with the Madison Ave Bridge as runners return to Manhattan from the Bronx, go Yanks!
